CPCL Recruitment 2026: Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL), a Navratna Public Sector Organization and a Group Company of Indian Oil Corporation Limited, has released Advt. No. 01 of 2026 – CPCL/HRD:03:055 dated 14 August 2026 for recruitment of Non-Executive Personnel. CPCL has invited online applications from young, self-motivated and energetic Indian citizens for Junior Engineering Assistant-IV posts in Production, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines.

A total of 60 tentative vacancies have been notified under this recruitment. Candidates with the required Diploma/B.Sc. qualification and relevant post-qualification experience can apply online. The online application process starts on 14 August 2026, and the last date for submission of the application and payment of fee is 11 September 2026 up to 11:59 PM. The Computer Based Test (CBT) is tentatively scheduled in September/October 2026 at Chennai.

The ₹500 fee is non-refundable and is payable online through SBI e-pay using Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card or UPI. Applicable bank charges are to be borne by the candidate.

CPCL Recruitment 2026 Vacancies, Qualification

Important Qualification Note: The prescribed qualification must be from a recognized University/Institution/Board. Candidates possessing higher professional qualifications such as B.E./B.Tech., MBA, CA, LLB, MCA or equivalent are not eligible for these posts.

CPCL Recruitment 2026 Age Limit

The maximum age limit is 30 years as on 01 July 2026. Age relaxation is applicable as per the prescribed rules: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PwBD candidates in General category, 13 years for OBC and 15 years for SC, and for Ex-Servicemen, relaxation is available to the extent of service rendered plus an additional 3 years, subject to a maximum age of 50 years.

CPCL Recruitment 2026 Salary

Selected candidates will be appointed in the Non-Supervisory Cadre (Grade IV) with an IDA pay scale of ₹25,000 – ₹1,05,000/- and a starting basic pay of ₹25,000/-.

In addition to basic pay, selected candidates will be eligible for DA, HRA/Self-Lease, PF, Gratuity, LTC/LFA, medical reimbursement, superannuation benefits and other benefits as per CPCL rules.

CPCL Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection process consists of:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT)
2. Document Verification
3. Skill, Proficiency and/or Physical Test (SPPT)
4. Medical Fitness

The SPPT will be qualifying in nature. Candidates shortlisted for SPPT will generally be called in the ratio of 1:3, i.e. three candidates for one post, subject to the prescribed qualifying marks and reservation requirements. Final selection will be based on CBT merit among candidates who qualify the SPPT and are found medically fit.

CPCL Recruitment 2026 Exam Pattern

The Computer Based Test will carry 120 marks and will have two sections:

The General Aptitude section will cover Verbal Ability, General Knowledge, Reasoning/Logical Deduction and Numerical Ability. The Discipline Knowledge section will contain questions related to the relevant technical discipline.

• Total Duration: 2 Hours
• Negative Marking: 1/4 mark for every wrong answer
• Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40%
• SC/ST/PwBD candidates against reserved positions receive 5% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks.
• CBT is tentatively scheduled for September/October 2026 at Chennai.

Candidates should apply online through the official CPCL Careers website using an active email ID and mobile number. During registration, candidates need to select the post, enter personal details and verify their email/mobile through OTP.

After login, complete the personal details, academic details and mandatory work-experience information, upload the photograph, signature and required certificates, preview the application and submit the declaration. Eligible candidates should then pay the applicable fee online through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card or UPI. Finally, download and save the completed application form and payment receipt for future reference.

Candidates are allowed to apply for only one post. If a candidate applies for more than one post, the registration fee will not be refunded.
