Income Tax Sports Quota Recruitment 2026: The Income Tax Department, West Bengal & Sikkim Region has released a recruitment notice for meritorious sportspersons for appointment to the posts of Tax Assistant (TA) and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS). The recruitment is being conducted under the provisions applicable to meritorious sportspersons in Central Government services. A total of 82 vacancies are available, including 25 Tax Assistant and 57 MTS posts.

Eligible sportspersons can apply in the prescribed offline application format. The completed application along with supporting documents must reach the concerned Income Tax Department office in Kolkata by 30 September 2026. Candidates can apply for TA, MTS or both posts in a single application by indicating their preference.

1. Stage 1: Physical Test & Written Exam (Written Exam / CBT / OMR Sheet Based)
2. Stage 2: Physical Test / Skill Test / Typing Test (where applicable)
3. Stage 3: Document Verification (DV)
4. Stage 4: Medical Fitness Examination

1. Candidates can apply online between Application Start Date to 30 September 2026.
2. Candidate must read the official notification PDF carefully before filling the recruitment application form for Income Tax Department.
3. Kindly check and collect all required documents — Eligibility Proof, ID Proof, Address Details, and Basic Details.
4. Scan all required documents — Photograph, Signature, ID Proof, Educational Certificates, etc.
5. Before submitting the application form, must preview and verify all columns and entered details carefully.
6. If the candidate is required to pay the application fee, must submit it. Incomplete forms without required fee will be rejected.
7. Take a printout of the final submitted application form for future reference.
